Q: What is the TOTY event?
TOTY is an event created by Electronic Arts to celebrate the best players of the civil year. According to the EA’s financial reports, it is the most profitable event.

Q: When the TOTY event for FIFA 20 takes place?
It is expected to be released on January 6, 2020 (Monday). Usually, it lasts one week.

Q: When was the TOTY event released for the first time ever?
The TOTY event was released for the first time ever in FIFA 13 but the first items were released in FIFA 12.

Q: How important is the TOTY event?
TOTY is THE event. It is the most important promotion because it features the best items.

Q: What is the impact of TOTY on the transfer market?
Once a year, a team featuring the world’s best players is announced. This release is responsible for thousands of pack openings. It also means severe price falls. Everything happens at an absolute immense scale: these cards are the best in the game, they come in packs for a week and prices fall to never before seen values.

Q: Is the TOTW released during the Team of the Year week?
Yes. Team of the Week are released interrupted every Wednesday.

Q: What is the Team of the Year?
Team of the Year, commonly abbreviated to TOTY, is a selection of players released on a yearly basis. These blue special cards are assigned to the best players based on their real performance on the previous civil year. Team of the Year items are probably the best cards in this game. They feature significant upgrades and are assigned to the best players of the civil year.

Q: What is the difference between Team of the Year and Team of the Season?
TOTY is a team made by the votes of the FIFA community. The TOTS is about the players of each league who have played better during the season (usually between August/September and May).

Q: How is chosen the Team of the Year?

Q: How many players are selected for the TOTY?
Eleven. The Team of the Year is released only once a year and contain the best 11 players in the world. The TOTY is made up of 1 goalkeeper, 4 defenders, 3 midfielders and 3 forwards, where each category can contain a player in any position.

Q: Can a Team of the Year player’s rating change?
TOTY card ratings remain unchanged after being implemented into FUT.

Q: Are dynamic items upgraded when a TOTY card is released?
No, they are not affected by TOTY items.

Q: Can I own other versions of the TOTY item in my club?
You can have multiple items of the same player in your club. However, you cannot use them in your squad at the same time.

Q: What happens to regular items while TOTY are in packs?
TOTY items become available in packs for a full week. During this period, they replace the corresponding regular items. In other words, it is not possible to find a regular card of a TOTY player on that week. If you own the regular card of a TOTY player, your card will keep unchanged. If you want the new version, you will need to buy the corresponding version in the market or pull it from a pack in that week. Your odds of pulling a TOTY card from a pack are exactly the same ones of pulling the day 1 card of that player in another time.

Q: Which promo packs can we expect on these days?
All the most popular packs will be available but for a limited time or limited quantity (lightning rounds). This includes 25k, 35k, 50k, 100k and 125k packs. Themed SBCs, themed objectives and themed players cards are also available.

Q: What are Lightning Rounds?
Lightning Rounds are new rounds of promo packs, which are available on the store until they run out. On Lightning Rounds there are a global limited amount of packs to be sold. The first to come are the first to be served. On another hand, without a limit of packs for each user, you are free to buy how many promo packs you want as long as they are not sold out.

Q: In which days Lightning Rounds are usually released?
During the Team of the Year event, lightning rounds are usually released in a daily basis.

Q: Can we expect 100k Jumbo Rare Players Packs?
Yes. These packs are usually released during the TOTY promotions.

Q: Will EA Sports release free packs to everyone during the TOTY event?
No, it is highly unlikely.

Q: How can I get a TOTY player card?
You have to pack them while they are available in packs. A selection of players (nominees) can also be found in objectives and SBCs.

Q: How long are TOTY items available in FIFA packs?
They are in packs from Monday to Monday but not all at the same time (except in a selected time).

Q: Are TOTY items released all at once?
The players are not inserted in packs all at once. These special items are released according to their positions. From Thursday to Monday, all TOTY items are available in packs.

Q: How easy is to find a TOTY item in FUT packs?
Just like it happens with any best-rated player, the likelihood of finding a TOTY item in FUT packs is very low because these cards are extremely rare.

Q: In which FUT packs I can find TOTY cards?
TOTY players can be found in any pack with rare gold players. Obviously, the chances of finding one of these cards are higher if you open a pack which contains more rare gold players cards.

Q: Are TOTY items tradeable?
Yes, they are.

Q: Can I store packs to open during the TOTY week?
Yes. Except for FUT Champions Players Picks, it doesn’t matter when you got the packs. The cards you will find inside depend exclusively of the date you open them.

Q: When is the best time to open packs?
That’s when all the Team of the Year players are in packs, probably between Thursday night and Monday night.

Q: Are these items affected by Winter upgrades?
Yes, they are.
