Introduction to the FIFA 16 Ultimate Team Carryover Guide

We thought that creating a guide like this wouldn’t be really necessary since most players already know what they’ll be able to carry over to FUT 16. However, we started receiving several help requests concerning this theme. A lot of our followers have started playing FUT this year, so this is completely understandable. Even we ourselves have been in this position six years ago when we first started playing and looking for the same answers. We have been receiving these questions so frequently that we felt the need to look all over the internet and see if there are really that many people in the same situation… and yes there are. The bad thing is that amongst all the answers given by the most experienced players of the community, there are many, many inaccuracies and contradictions.

Whoever is familiar with us knows that we don’t like to leave the slightest questions unanswered. That is why we’ll be exploring everything there is to know about the FIFA 16 Ultimate Team carrying over: what you’ll keep from the previous game, what happens if you switch consoles, what you need to do to switch to FUT 16 and how FIFA points transaction works. No matters if you are a FUT 15 regular gamer or fresh to the game, keep up with us as we clear things up. As always we will swot up your knowledge and bring you right up to date with what is going on!

A FIFA 16 Ultimate Team Carryover Guide

What’s carried over to FIFA 16 Ultimate Team ?

This is the most important question. Will I keep my coins and players from FUT 15 ? What can I bring to FUT 16 ? We’ll be as clear as we possibly can:

These ARE NOT carried over to FUT 16:

– Coins;
– Cards;
– EASFC Catalogue Items;
– Match History;
– Current Division;
– Trophies;
– Xbox Achievements or PSN Trophies.

These ARE carried over to FUT 16:

– XP Level;
– FC Credits;
– One-time changeable club name;
– FIFA Points (1).

Coins

If you didn’t know coins can’t be transferred to FUT 16, then you must be disappointed. We’ve all been there so don’t worry, you eventually get over it. Plus buying cards won’t help since they can’t be transferred as well. Don’t know what to do with the coins you’ve been arduously collecting for a year? We can help you with that (available soon).

Cards

If you’ve got Ronaldo in your team and you’re buying FIFA 16, it’s time to say goodbye to him. None of the cards you currently have in your club will be transferred to FUT 16: not the players, staff, consumables or even your club items. Nothing.

EASFC Catalogue items

The EASFC Catalogue is a kind of a store where players can exchange FC Credits for hundreds of items. For Ultimate Team it’s possible to increase the targets and transfer lists, receive coin bonuses, change the club’s name, increase the maximum number of squads and even buy “super” 99 contracts for your players. Since this catalogue varies from FIFA to FIFA, you won’t be able to bring items you purchased on previous games.

A FIFA 16 Ultimate Team Carryover Guide

If you want to know more about the EASFC Catalogue, click on the image above

Match History

Are you that one who’s in the Leaderboard TOP 100? Congratulations. Time to take a screenshot, otherwise this awesome deed will be easily forgotten, left behind to ashes. Your Wins/Draws/Losses history will be lost when you stop playing FIFA 15. It won’t count towards FIFA 16. And even if you decide to keep playing it, EA will put an end to it in less than 2 years because, well, they’d just rather not keep spending money on servers few people will playing at. In their words, they do this so they’re able to “enhance the user’s experience”. Better just go take a screenshot then, huh ?

Current Division

Reaching division 1 has never been so hard as in FUT 14 and in FUT 15. If you’ve done it, you’re probably constantly struggling not to get relegated to division 2. What if you get relegated to division 10? This is what will happen when you start FIFA 16 Ultimate Team. If you think you’ll just humiliate your opponents, just forget it. Everyone starts at division 10: the good and the bad players.

Trophies

The list of things you’re going to lose for FUT 16 is just endless, isn’t it ? Just like the 2006-2007 Juventus team, you will lose all your tournament and season titles if you start a new FIFA. Except for the fact that you haven’t done anything wrong.

Xbox 360 Achievements or PSN Trophies

Achieving objectives that each console grants you will not be related to FIFA 16, naturally, because they’re specific for each game. Waiting for a TOTW card from a pack? EA thanks your effort. Or not.

XP

XP leveling is a system that a measures how experienced you are in the FIFA universe. It doesn’t matter the game mode, platform or the game on its own, basically you’re going to maintain on FIFA 16 the XP you have at the time. You can even go back to FIFA 15 and still earn XP. It’s shown on the superior right corner of the screen, placed below your ID. Maintaining your XP will give you some advantage over the beginners because you’ll have access to several EASFC Catalogue items they don’t.

FC Credits

FC Credits (Football Club Credits; FCC) is the coin used on EA Sports Football Club. Works exactly like the XP, being linked to your Origin account and not directly related to the FIFA you’re playing. It’s basically used to purchase EASFC Catalogue items and it’s shown immediately in front of the XP.

One-time changeable club name

One of the things EA Sports allows you to keep on FUT 16 is your club name. When you start it for the first time you’ll be asked if you wish to change it or just leave it the same. If you choose yes, you’ve got the right to keep it. You can only change it later buying the club name changing EASFC Catalogue item. If you choose no, you’ll be creating a new name and the old one will be available for other people to choose.

FIFA Points

FIFA Points are an alternate to coins that are used to buy packs. If you don’t intend to spend all your FIFA Points on FUT 15, you can transfer them to FUT 16. You can even buy some by the end of FUT 15 so you can use in the FUT 16 released date, since it won’t be purchasable at the time. However, this is a one-time transfer, so you’ve got to be careful when you start the game for the first time.

FIFA Points can be shared only between same platforms, so if you buy them on Xbox One for FUT 16 you can’t use them on Playstation 4, but you can on Xbox 360.

Starting FIFA 16 Ultimate Team

After so many disadvantages you might be wondering if it’s worth it or not getting the new FIFA 16. If you’re a fan of the series, it’s safe to say that we recommend it. Besides the renewed experience inside the pitch, you’ll be able to build your team based on what’s going on in the real life football. The transfer market will allow new combinations of players and their ratings will be updated. Before you know you’ll forget what was left behind.

In order to start playing FUT 16 you obviously need to buy FIFA 16. Use the same Origin account you’ve been using so that the system recognizes all your data: FCC, XP, club name and FIFA Points. The older players’ fidelity will be rewarded with early access to the Web App around 3 weeks before the official game release date (1); all that followed by free starter packs.

FIFA 16 Ultimate Team on a new console

New Gen Consoles are getting cheaper and for that reason many players will use FIFA 16 as a reason to upgrade to the new consoles generation. If that’s your case, get to know what you have to do so that everything’s fine. This theme is a little more complicated than it seems, so we’ll try to simplify:

Different Platform, from FUT 15 to FUT 16 or from FUT 16 to FUT 16

From PS3, PS4, PC, iOS, Android or Windows Phone to XBox 360 or XBox One (FUT 15 -> FUT 16)
From PS3, PS4, PC, iOS, Android or Windows Phone to XBox 360 or XBox One (FUT 16 -> FUT 16)
From XBox 360, XBox One, PC, iOS, Android or Windows Phone to PS3 or PS4 (FUT 15 -> FUT 16)
From XBox 360, XBox One, PC, iOS, Android or Windows Phone to PS3 or PS4 (FUT 16 -> FUT 16)
From XBox 360, XBox One, PS3, PS4, iOS, Android or Windows Phone to PC (FUT 15 -> FUT 16)
From XBox 360, XBox One, PS3, PS4, iOS, Android or Windows Phone to PC (FUT 16 -> FUT 16)
From XBox 360, XBox One, PS3, PS4 or PC to iOS, Android or Windows Phone (FUT 15 -> FUT 16)
From XBox 360, XBox One, PS3, PS4 or PC to iOS, Android or Windows Phone (FUT 16 -> FUT 16)

You’ll only keep what’s linked to your Origin account. That is your XP and FCC.

Same Platforms, from FUT 15 to FUT 16

    From PS3 or PS4 to PS3 or PS4 (FUT 15 -> FUT 16)
From XBox 360 or XBox One to XBox 360 or XBox One (FUT 15 -> FUT 16)
From PC to PC (FUT 15 -> FUT 16)
From iOS to iOS (FUT 15 -> FUT 16)
From Android to Android (FUT 15 -> FUT 16)
From Windows Phone to Windows Phone (FUT 15 -> FUT 16)

Switching consoles doesn’t mean any disadvantages since you use the same platform (Playstation or Xbox) and Origin account. We’ve talked about what’s being lost and kept earlier in this article. In other words, you will keep the XP level, FC Credits, name and FIFA Points, and you will lose the coins, cards, EASFC catalogue items, match history, current division, trophies and awards.

Same Platforms, from FUT 16 to FUT 16

    From PS3 or PS4 to PS3 or PS4 (FUT 16 -> FUT 16)
From XBox 360 or XBox One to XBox 360 or XBox One (FUT 16 -> FUT 16)
From PC to PC (FUT 16 -> FUT 16)
From iOS to iOS (FUT 16 -> FUT 16)
From Android to Android (FUT 16 -> FUT 16)
From Windows Phone to Windows Phone (FUT 16 -> FUT 16)

Whoever plays FUT 16 on a console will be able to keep absolutely everything when they switch to another console of the same platform. Won’t see a difference. Just use the same Origin account and you’ll be able to see the system recognizing your XP, for example. However, you’ll be requested to restart Ultimate Team if you’re not logged in with your PSN ID or Gamertag. Don’t ignore this simple step.

FIFA 16 Wishlist and Rumours: New Stadiums

Everyone loves new stadiums. Fact. And we can confirm right now that new stadiums are coming to FIFA 16. But which ones ? Share with us your new stadiums wishlist and get to know if the rumours will meet your expectations or not.

UPDATE

As soon as new stadiums are announced, we will publish them here.

FIFA 16 Wishlist and Rumours: New Stadiums

This is the time of the year in which everyone has an opinion. Everyone dreams with the perfect FIFA. Let see what the community wants. Write in the comments section which new stadiums you would like to see in FIFA 16.

There are many FIFA 16 rumours, but most of them are fake. We picked the most reliable rumours, added our perception and share our opinion with you about the most likely FIFA 16 stadiums.

In the previous years, the most wanted stadiums were the Türk Telekom Arena, Estádio da Luz, Celtic Park and Maracanã. But none of them should be added in FIFA 16. It doesn’t mean that the new additions will not be exciting. Let’s see…

King Abdullah Sports City Stadium

FIFA 16 Wishlist and Rumours: New Stadiums

Likelihood: Very High
Country: Saudi Arabia
Date: 1983 (renovated in 2014)
Capacity: 62,000 seats
Clubs: Al-Ittihad FC and Al-Ahli SC

Al-Ittihad Saudi used their official Twitter account to announce that the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium will be one of the new stadiums in FIFA 16. This may be the second ALJ Stadium in the game, showing how important is the Saudi Arabian market to EA Sports.

Stade Vélodrome

FIFA 16 Wishlist and Rumours: New Stadiums

Likelihood: Confirmed
Country: France
Date: 1937 ( renovated in 2014)
Capacity: 67,000 seats
Club: Olympique de Marseille

Indeed this is not a new stadium. It was in FIFA 14 and was removed last year. It is getting back to FIFA 16, recreating all the changes because of the renovation. This addition was confirmed in the E3’s FIFA 16 trailer that you can watch here.

CenturyLink Field

FIFA 16 Wishlist and Rumours: New Stadiums title=

Likelihood: Confirmed
Country: United States
Date: 1998
Capacity: 39,000 seats
Club: Seattle Sounders

This stadium was also confirmed in the E3’s FIFA 16 trailer. It is natural to see EA including the first north-american stadium in FIFA franchise because the american market is growing very fast and because of the new women’s football feature. Specially after the World Champion title of the women’s United States.

Borussia Park

FIFA 16 Wishlist and Rumours: New Stadiums

Likelihood: Confirmed
Country: Germany
Date: 2004
Capacity: 54,000 seats
Club: Borussia Mönchengladbach

Another stadium revealed in the E3’s trailer. And probably it will not be the only Bundesliga stadium to be added.

More Stadiums

FIFA 16 Wishlist and Rumours: New Stadiums

The level of detail in some of the old stadiums improved a lot in FIFA 16. The cases of the Santiago Bernabéu and the Parc des Princes are just two of many examples.

The list of the new stadiums may be larger than the four we showed to you. There is a chance to see EA Sports introducing in the game all the stadiums from La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1, just like they did last year with the Barclays PL stadiums. That would increase the level of authenticity to something never seen before. We believe that they will do it, at least, with the Liga BBVA stadiums (they have the license) and with the Bundesliga stadiums, but we will have to wait to know.

And you? Which new stadiums are in you wishlist ? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.

FIFA 16 Wishlist and Rumours: Improvements and Innovations

This is the time of the year in which everyone has an opinion. Everyone dreams with the perfect FIFA. This year, it is the FIFA community who has the chance to tell us what they want. Share your FIFA 16 wishlist with us in the comments section.

The FIFA gamers have lots of requests. The most popular one is to improve the servers. To make pace abusers life harder is also a very usual request. Many people is keep asking the Web App return and the end of the Price Ranges. They also demand a better AI and the end of many minor bugs that carryover from FIFA to FIFA.

Which chances they have to see their requests in FIFA 16 ? Continue reading to find out…

FIFA 16 Wishlist and Rumours: Improvements and Innovations

Here it is a summary of the improvements and innovations that will (not) be added to FIFA 16:

    Servers
Every year we ask better servers. And every year it is the same thing: EA don’t improve their servers according to the estimated audience growing. This year, it will be the same story. For sure.

    AI
In FUT 15, pace abusers were king. EA Sports already recognize it and they promise to fix it for FIFA 16.

    Transfer Market
Do you know someone who never got a player stuck into the transfer list ? Or someone who never got without coins and cards after making a buy ? Probably not. These problems happened in previous years but this year it was too bad to be true. Unfortunately, we don’t believe in good changes for FUT 16. It will be better to get used to it…

    Web and Companion App
Web App and Companion App were turned off for more than a half season in FUT 15. It is something unacceptable for those who paid a full game. Maybe EA will bring us something good about it. Or not. Turning off forever is not an option.

Is FIFA 16 for Men or for Women anyway?

$

Rodrigo Lopes, the website’s author, has always wanted to do something while being some place near the community where he could explore more freedom of content. In this area, which will start by being a monthly thing, he’ll definitely have the opportunity to show a mostly personal vision about (not only) the game.

Is FIFA 16 for Men or for Women anyway?

Is FIFA 16 for Men or for Women anyway?

Today we’ll approach the subject of the moment differently: ‘But what subject?’, you ask. Is the article going to be about Maxi Pereira leaving the club where he was sub-captain at the way he did? Or is it whether 60 years is enough time for Germany to pay Greece what they owe them or not? Or if Jon Snow will in fact come back from the dead? No, not really. The subject of the moment is, at least on FIFA 16, regarding the introduction of women’s national teams. Do you agree with EA adding this feature? Regardless of your opinion, one thing should be clear: we do care about respect.

Without further ado let’s get to what matters. For the first time in the history of the FIFA franchise, it’ll be possible for you to command a team of female players. This new feature has been frequently advertised by the developer, after all the significant investment will have to pay off. And when things are that much advertised they usually hear the community. And we’re talking about FIFA 16’s first new feature. Many players celebrated this extra game mode they’ll be able to play on FIFA, while others revealed themselves indifferent or even dissatisfied. Everything cool so far. Everyone has the right for an opinion. I have mine as well. I confess that it doesn’t really thrill me at all because I believe that more than 90% of players will quit playing with women’s national teams after a game or two. I want to try it, and I’ll probably be able to do so on the demo, but I’ll hardly leave my beloved Benfica aside to play as a women’s national team in which I’m not familiar with most of the players. But not being interested in doesn’t mean that I disagree with it. For me it’s simple: if you don’t like seeing women’s football in FIFA 16, then stick to the remaining game modes that you’re already familiar with.

Many players that criticize this addition argue that its development stops other features, supposedly more interesting ones, from being launched. According to EA Sports, the inclusion of women’s national teams is the product of an ongoing work of several years that never affected other sides of the game for it has its own specialized development team. There are also those fearing that the female players will lower Ultimate Team’s quality level, reducing the probability, for example, of good players coming from packs. That makes no sense since Ultimate Team won’t include them and they even represent less than 2% of the total, while their ratings will also be different. It means, for example, that an 80-rated female player will never perform as well as a male player with the same rating. Although I’m apparently countering all of these arguments from players that are against the new feature, I respect these opinions.

The freedom of speech ends where the respect for the other starts. And that’s what I want to focus on today. It doesn’t really matter to me whether you liked the possibility of playing with women on FIFA 16 or not. There are more important things than that. Among those who reprove the new feature, there’s been a very considerable number of people showing extreme levels of ignorance instead of using logical arguments. They’ve already flooded several websites with offensive comments towards women, showing not only complete lack of respect but also… how can I put this politely? Tremendous stupidity. That’s it. If that was your case, then today I’ll extend my freedom of speech just for a bit and call you more than ignorant and stupid. (2) Yes, maybe calling people names in front of an audience isn’t the smartest move, but I just feel like it’s my duty. Maybe I don’t have this right, but I do have this duty. I’ve already tried doing something related to civil responsibilities around here but my contribution was mainly limited to our Twitter account. Today I’ll take the opportunity of having a group of almost exclusively male readers here to try and raise awareness to the youngest or the less conscious on how wrong it is to have this kind of behaviour. And although I’ms a personal opinion kind of article I know I’m not alone on this one. Hugo has already showed his repudiation in his article and I’m sure that Sílvio, being the very intelligent person that he is, has the same thoughts. And also, those who think the website is made of just the three of us are very wrong. Pedro, for example, has been doing a remarkable job, week after week, translating most of what we write so that the word is spread and gets to the biggest number of people possible.

Is FIFA 16 for Men or for Women anyway? Is FIFA 16 for Men or for Women anyway? Is FIFA 16 for Men or for Women anyway?

Now that I’ve already shown my aggressive and politically incorrect side, such a characteristic of my articles, we get to the point where you ask: “but Rodrigo, is that really necessary?”. Yes, it is. Such pitiful behaviour doesn’t deserve much of our attention, but if you want to go deeper for a moment, when you go look for it just for a bit you’ll find in an instant endless lists of stupid comments that minimize women’s role on society, insult them and refer to them as mere objects. It’s hard to find an explanation for such a concentration of idiots. My hope is that all this is justified not by the apparent valueless world we’re living in, but fear, a stupid one but at least it’d be a less reprehensible cause, fear of losing the game to women. There are people who think football and FIFA are for men only and these things shouldn’t be shared with women.

EA Sports wouldn’t invest so much money in the development of something that they’re not sure whether it would be a success or not. The number of female players, both virtual and real, has been increasing a lot alongside the popularity of women’s football, mainly in countries that have been well represented by their national teams in the past couple of years such as Canada and the United States of America. In these countries, women’s national teams have the same or even more importance than men’s and the female players have achieved extremely high levels of popularity. Is there anyone who doesn’t know who Hope Solo is, for example?

The same way I like playing with Hazard and Tévez, many other people are excited with the possibility of being able to play with Abby Wambach and Marta. Even the professional female players themselves wished they could say ‘I’m in the Game‘. Not only that, they also wanted the same opportunity men had to become popular and acquire new fans. FIFA does influence football fans a lot after all. So much that women’s football will have its popularity increased exponentially in the next couple of years.

Is FIFA 16 for Men or for Women anyway?

I confess I might have said “football is for men” in an intimidating tone one or two times after a tough challenge while playing with my mates. It’s just something cultural and historical, but times do change and some unthinking acts such as this one get corrected. That’s what differs us from animals. Today we live in a global world and football isn’t just mine or yours anymore. It’s everybody’s. Men’s and women’s. They play football too, watch games and can also be great FIFA players. If you don’t want to play with women, then just don’t. But let others do so. It won’t hurt.

Ignorace kills. Maybe instead of insulting, these many thousands of players should spend some of their time informing themselves a little bit more on some of the themes that we propose: (2):

Genital Female Mutilation as Weapon of War
#bringbackourgirls
Rwandan Genocide
Sexual Violence Throughout the World

If they see themselves as such real men, certainly they’ll have the guts to read all that. If this doesn’t mean anything to you, think for a few seconds in your mother, sister, wife or daughter. Just remember that this isn’t a game. It’s real. It happens, unfortunately. Everyday. And you’re doing absolutely nothing to stop these atrocities from happening. On the contrary. Offence only feeds the ignorance. I did my part with this article. What about you, will you just sit there or do you have anything more important to do?

As soon as new leagues are announced, we will publish them here.

FIFA 16 Wishlist and Rumours: New Leagues

This is the time of the year in which everyone has an opinion. Everyone dreams with the perfect FIFA. Let see what the community wants. Write in the comments section which new leagues you would like to see in FIFA 16.

There are many FIFA 16 rumours, but most of them are fake. We picked the most reliable rumours, added our perception and share our opinion with you about the most likely FIFA 16 new leagues.

The main leagues from Brazil and Ukraine are by far the most wanted. But the community wants to see more leagues in FIFA 16. They also want other new leagues, as the main ones from China, Israel and India. Let’s see if they will get lucky…

Brazilian League

FIFA 16 Wishlist and Rumours: New Leagues

Likelihood: High
Name: Serie A (Brasileirão)
Current Champions: Cruzeiro
Other Popular Clubs: Santos, Palmeiras, São Paulo, Flamengo, Corinthians, Cruzeiro and Fluminense

EA Sports has decided to drop this league in FIFA 15 because of problems with image rights. The players from Brazil were no longer represented by FIFPro and, since this was the association which mediated the negotiations, they started to negotiate individually. Something completely impractical. For FIFA 16, the producer has made a huge effort to ensure the return of the Brasileirão but for now there is still no sure if it will be included or not.

Chinese League

FIFA 16 Wishlist and Rumours: New Leagues

Likelihood: Medium
Name: Chinese Super League
Current Champions: Guangzhou Evergrande
Other Popular Clubs: Shandong Luneng, Beijing Guoan and Guangzhou R&F

It is public that EA Sports reached agreements with Chinese clubs like Shandong Luneng, Guizhou Renhe, Guangzhou Evergrande FC and Beijing Guoan FC. They are supposed to be added to FIFA Online 3 but there is always a chance to see CSL in FIFA 16 if they reach agreement with the other clubs.

Autenticity

FIFA 16 Wishlist and Rumours: New Leagues

Likelihood: High

FIFA 16 will be the most authentic game of the series as the agreements all around the world show. It was made official, for example, that the T-Mobile Ekstraklasa Polish League will be fully licensed. It was also announced that the existing contract with the Liga Mexicana MX Bancomer was extended for another three years.

But it is not in these less popular leagues that authenticity will be more noticeable. It appears that the La Liga and the Bundesliga will have this year the same treatment as the Barclays PL had in FIFA 15. In other words, besides fully licenses, there will be more careful in replicating every detail, from the advertising boards to the television broadcasts. It is possible to see a few of these details on the E3’s FIFA 16 video. Another evidence is the fact to see EA as a partner in Bundesliga and Liga BBVA websites.

And you? Which new leagues are in you FIFA 16 wishlist ? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.

FIFA 16 Closed Beta Explained

$

There’s a lot of secrecy revolving around the FIFA 16 closed beta. Almost nobody knows for sure what it is, how it works and how you could have access to it. Take a look at our short guide in order to stop being part of this group of uninformed people.

FIFA 16 Closed Beta

Q: What is the FIFA 16 closed beta for?
A: The main purpose of it is to test the game. It’s for players to try out a FIFA 16 game mode and give the developer feedback on anomalies they might find, and also suggest potential alterations. This beta has also got the particularity of promoting the game itself.

Q: How does the closed beta interfere on the game’s development process?
A: Just like the previous games, FIFA 16 is a very complex game that joins several game modes together, for they’ve been developed over the years. There are several different teams responsible to develop determined projects and areas of the game that might or might not be integrated to the final product according to deadlines, the work’s quality and other economic and strategic factors. Which means that these teams are not always working for the next FIFA. The whole project must be exhaustively tested out for them to make sure it works correctly. For that, EA Sports normally invite a group of volunteers in their premises so they can test the game. After the adjustments regarding the first feedback period are made, the Alpha version is released. This is the version EA uses to show it to the public for the first time, at E3. The game’s official release occurs in the end of September and always comes along with an update that’s supposed to correct the anomalies detected after the disks are printed out. Between one thing and the other, there’s the beta and then there’s the demo.

Q: When does the FIFA 16 closed beta start?
A: August 13th, 2015.

Q: For how long does the FIFA 16 closed beta go on?
A: Normally for about 10 days.

Q: What happens after this period?
A: People can no longer have access to the beta. At this point the players are supposed to give EA Sports feedback.

Q: Which platforms will the FIFA 16 closed beta be available for?
A: This test version is exclusive for Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360. It won’t be available for PC or mobile platforms.

Q: Which game modes will be tested in the FIFA 16 closed beta?
A: Pro Clubs
Career Mode
On line Seasons
Ultimate Team.

Q: When exactly are each of these game modes going to be tested?
A: Different to what happened on previous years, in the FIFA 16 closed beta all game modes will be tested at the same time, from the first to the last day. The difference is that the invites will be addressed specifically to one game mode. One player won’t be able to test more than one game mode.

Q: How much does the beta cost?
A: It’s free of charges. However, you’ll need a direct invite.

FIFA 16 Closed Beta Explained

Q: What do I do in order to play the FIFA 16 closed demo?
A: Only players that are invited will be able to play the beta. The only thing you can do is stay alert to your mail box (from the e-mail you use for your FIFA account) to see if you were invited or not. Pay attention to all folders, including spam.

Q: When do they start sending the invites?
A: They start sending invites in the 27th of July, gradually for each platform.

Q: I’ve received an invite for the beta in my e-mail. How do I know it’s legit?
A: Carefully verify if the sender’s email looks like this: something@ea.com.

Q: I received an invite. Does that mean I’ll play the beta?
A: No. The number of spots is limited so as soon as you receive the invite you’ll need to register in order to guarantee yours.

Q: What criteria do they follow while picking the players who earn invites?
A: There are several criteria for this selection, and the most important ones are playing time, performance in a determined game mode and registration. Only Xbox and Playstation FIFA 15 players are invited.

Q: Where goes the feedback?
A: In a forum created for the purpose where the only people who have access to it are the invited players who registered.

Q: Can I sell or share my invite?
A: No.

Q: I’ve found invites for sale. Are they legit?
A: They’re almost never legit because invites are always associated to one Origin account.

Q: By accepting the invite, what am I obliged to?
A: You’ll need to fulfil the agreement of the closed beta, which includes a confidentiality term.

Q: I’m a minor. Can I play the beta?
A: No. It’s exclusive for players at the age of 18 or older.

FIFA 16 Closed Beta Explained

Q: After I’ve been invited what do I have to do in order to play the closed beta?
A: You should click ‘register’ directly from the e-mail you received and agree with the terms of service. More information will only be viewed by you, in your e-mail, a few days after the start of the beta. If you’re accepted, you’ll be able to download the beta in the 13th of august.

Q: What does the confidentiality term consist of?
A: It basically forces the participants not to divulge any information regarding the game outside of the forum created for this purpose. Hence closed beta.

Q: What happens to those who don’t fulfil the confidentiality term?
A: They’ll lose access to this beta and to any other that’s released afterwards. Other measures can be taken for cases that are more serious.

Q: Is it normal for the participants to break the rules of the term?
A: Yes. EA Sports promote denunciation and inspect shared content, but as soon as the beta is released it’s guaranteed that some participants will make some information and images of the game public.

Q: Will I be asked to do something other than give them feedback?
A: Yes. For the developer the closed beta is like a big test, so they might ask you to test something out specifically. For example, in Ultimate Team you’ll receive credits so you can try buying packs.

If you’re one of the lucky ones that will get to try out FIFA 16 before everyone else, congratulations. Have fun testing the FIFA 16 closed beta and try making this game even better.

FIFA 16 Wishlist and Rumours: Players Ratings

This is the time of the year in which everyone has an opinion. Everyone dreams with the perfect FIFA. In order to have the best FIFA possible, it is important that players ratings be as real as possible.

One of the most discussed updates has to be with the best players of the world. Part of the community wants Ronaldo with the same rating of Messi. They were also very clear about a few upgrades, like with Pogba, De Gea, Diego Costa, Rakitic, Alexis Sánchez and Boateng. In the opposite side, they also think that Casillas, Diego Lopez, Farfán and Negredo ratings should be downgraded.

Which chances they have to see their requests in FIFA 16 ? Continue reading to find out…

FIFA 16 Wishlist and Rumours: Players Ratings

Depending on the progression that had the previous season, it is natural that some players are overvalued and others undervalued. In that cases theirs ratings should be updated. Which new players ratings may we expect to FIFA 16 ?

EA Access Guide for FIFA 16 Ultimate Team

EA Access is a subscription paid program. With it, gamers can get exclusive offers for Electronic Arts video games.

EA Access can only be subscribed by XBox One owners. There are no plans to include Playstation 4 in this program since Sony has rejected to make part of it probably because they are releasing a similar service called ‘Playstation Now’. Subscribers of the program that has been released on August 2014, are able to play other games besides popular EA Sports titles, like TitanFall and Battlefield 4.

EA Access is only available for XBox One gamers

It is inevitable to compare EA Access to Season Ticket. Pay attention to the following table where the main differences between the two services are identified.

    SEASON TICKET EA ACCESS
Platforms Playstation 3 / Xbox 360 Xbox One
    Price (12 months) $19,99 $29,99

Additionally, the 10% discount also applies to several DLC games like Madden NFL 15, Madden Ultimate Team, Battlefield 4, Battlefield 4 Premium, EA Sports UFC, Need for Speed Rivals, Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare, Peggle 2 and NBA Live 16.

How to get the discount ?

Subscribers just need to make the purchase through the EA Access dashboard. The discount is applied automatically.

How to Buy the EA Access

EA Access Guide for FIFA 16 Ultimate Team

Signing up for an EA Access membership is easy: Just head on over to the EA Access page to get started. You can also join through the free EA Access Hub app on Xbox One. Here’s how:
    – Go to the Store tab on the Xbox One home screen and select Apps. Select Search and search for EA Access. Install and launch the EA Access Hub app.
    – Launch the EA Access Hub app and link it to your Origin Account. If you do not have an Origin Account, simply follow the on-screen instructions to complete this step.
    – On the next screen, select Sign Up, then choose your membership plan.
    – Once you’ve finished the payment process, you’ll be brought back to the buy screen. Press ‘B’ on your controller to back out of this screen, then select Continue to Home.

EA Access is only available to XBox One owners that live in Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Taiwan, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and the United States.

EA Access membership is available to Xbox One gamers through Xbox Live. GameStop fans are able to purchase an EA Access membership at their local retail store (US only). Membership for EA Access has been priced at $4.99 per month or $29.99 for a full year. Credit card and PayPal are accepted as payment methods.

Any Xbox One gamer can join EA Access and take advantage of the benefits of membership. In order to connect to multiplayer gameplay on the Xbox One platform you will need a subscription to Xbox Gold.

    EA Access Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When do I need to buy a EA Access subscription that works with FIFA 16 ?
A: At least 5 days before the game release, if you want to play in the early access. Discounts’ on packs are always valid.

Q: What is the price of EA Access subscription ?
A: The EA Access has a one-time cost of $29.99 for 12 months. In order to keep working after this period, a renew is required. By default, it is made automatically.

Q: EA Access is available in all the countries ?
A: EA Access doesn’t work outside of these countries: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Taiwan, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and the United States.

Q: Which gaming platforms EA Access is available on ?
    A: Only for XBox One.

Q: Is EA Access transferable ?
    A: No.

Q: If I have an EA Access subscription but don’t buy the game, how long I will be able to play FIFA 16 with the early access?
A: Depends of your region. In North America it ends on September 24th. In Europe, Australia and New Zealand it ends on September 27th.

Q: What are pre-release trials? Will my progress carry over?
A: With an EA Access membership, you can download and play upcoming EA games before they’re released for a limited time. Because you’re playing the real game, not a demo, any progress you make will carry over, so you can pick up where you left off starting on launch day if you decide to purchase the game.

Q:What is the difference between a demo and an EA Access trial?
A: Demos are stand-alone chunks of a game meant to give you a taste of what it offers. But with EA Access trials, you’re playing the real game for a limited time before its release date. And if you purchase the game once it releases, you can pick up right where you left off – your progress and stats carry over.

Q: Can I buy FUT 16 packs in the days of early access ?
A: Yes. This feature is active in early access version.

Q: Will FIFA Points be for sale during early access period ?
A: Yes. Players who have EA Access for Xbox One will be able to purchase FIFA Points during the early access trial.

Q: Can I transfer my FIFA 15 Points to FIFA 16 Points during the early access period ?
A: Yes, you can. However, this is only on FIFA 16 between XBox One and XBox One. If players choose to not play the full version of FIFA 16, they will not be able to transfer their FIFA Points back to FIFA 15.

Q: Should I buy the EA Access ? What do you think ?
A: It depends of your profile. If you play more games besides FIFA, it may be a good option. However, that was a smart move from EA because they are reducing the discount to half with in the thing that brings them the most profit.

Q: Which one should I choose: Season Ticket or EA Access ?
A: You don’t have an option. It depends of your console: Playstation 3 and XBox 360 for Season Ticket and XBox One for EA Access.

FIFA 16 Ultimate Team Draft Guide

FIFA 16 Ultimate Team Draft is a brand new mode inside FUT 16. Do you want to know more about it ? Then, keep reading our guide.

FIFA 16 Ultimate Team Draft Guide

Q: What is FIFA 16 Ultimate Team Draft?
A: FIFA 16 Ultimate Team Draft is a brand new mode inside FUT 16. Now you have other ways to play Ultimate Team besides single matches, tournaments and seasons. This new mode will test your team building skills as you pick the best fit for each position from a five-player draw. Draft a squad and challenge opponents in a series of up to four matches to win big rewards for your club.

Q: When FIFA 16 Ultimate Team Draft will be available ?
A: Since the first day.

Q: Who are my opponents in FUT 16 Draft ?
A: You will play against other FUT Draft teams.

Q: Is it possible to play FIFA 16 Ultimate Team Draft on line ?
A: Yes. This mode is available single player and on line.

Q: Is play-a-friend available in FIFA 16 Ultimate Team Draft ?
A: No, it is not.

Q: How do I enter in Draft mode ?
A: Easy. Inside your FUT mode, go to ‘on line’ or ‘single player’, and then select ‘draft’.

FIFA 16 Ultimate Team Draft Guide

Q: How do I start playing FIFA 16 Ultimate Team Draft ?
A: To start playing Draft mode you first need to choose your formation, pick a captain, build your team and select a manager.

Q: Can I choose the match difficulty ?
A: Yes. You can choose the match difficulty in single player matches. It will affect the amount of coins received per game but not the winning rewards.

Q: Can I choose any formation ?
A: No. Just like it happens with the players, there is a random selection of five formations to pick. Start your FUT Draft by choosing the one you like most. Choose wisely: the formation you pick will remain as your default formation throughout the series of matches.

Q: Can I change the formation ?
A: No. You can only change the formation after you loose or start over again.

Q: Why do I have to pick a captain ?
A: The captain is the first player you need to choose to your FUT 16 Draft squad. Usually, he is the best player of your team. The five-player draw you will have to pick to the other positions are based in this choice.

Q: How do I build the rest of my squad ?
A: From there, fill out the rest of your 23-man squad by picking players for each position from a random draw of five players. You’ll be faced with interesting team building challenges: do you grab the best highest rated player in that position or focus on maximizing team Chemistry? Try different combinations to see what works best for you. After selecting your starting XI, Bench, and Reserves you can then move players around to improve your Chemistry rating.

FIFA 16 Ultimate Team Draft Guide

Q: Can I change or sell my players ?
A: No. In fact, these players are not yours. There is no market in Draft mode. You pick your squad and you need to keep with them until you have a fresh start.

Q: It’s too boring to pick the 23 players from 100+ players the game shows to us. What can I do about it ?
A: Just look to the bottom of your screen. There is a button to auto-complete your squad.

Q: The random draw of five players is exclusively to NIF players ?
A: No. Any FUT player may show up in the draft, including Legends (only on Xbox) and the special in-forms. With that kind of variety, the FUT Draft is a great opportunity for all gamers to try some of the best players in the game.

Q: Previous IFs can appear in FIFA 16 Ultimate Team Draft ?
A: Yes, not just during their current week. For example: TOTY players can show up after TOTY is over.

Q: Can I keep with the Draft players to use in tournaments and seasons ?
A: No. You can use them only while you are winning and at most four matches. Then, you will have to pick a new squad to play FUT 16 Draft. Draft players can only be used in Draft mode. However, you can use the rewards you win in this mode to improve your original FUT squad.

Q: Why do I need to choose a manager ?
A: Don’t forget that you are playing Ultimate Team mode. A Manger with the right nationality or league links will help to improve your team’s chemistry.

Q: There is a fee to play FUT 16 Draft ?
A: Yes, there is. But it is not in real currency. Every time you play this mode you need to pay 15,000 coins or 300 FIFA Points. It may looks a lot but it is not because, even when you loose the first match, you’ll still receive a reward equal to the entrance fee.

Q: There is any way to avoid to pay the fee ?
A: Yes, there is. Just like the tokens you can find in previous FUT’s to redeem coins and packs, in FIFA 16 you can have the luck of pulling from a pack a token to redeem a FUT Draft entrance for free.

FIFA 16 Ultimate Team Draft Guide

Q: What are the rewards ?
A: Usually you get a pack that you can use in your original FUT squad.

Q: How many matches I need to play to get a reward ?
A: Once you’re ready, it’s time to take your squad to the pitch and challenge opponents to compete in a four-match series. You can compete in single player or on line against opponents across the globe. As you progress, you’ll earn better rewards, including coins, packs, and more. Win four matches in a row to earn the best rewards possible. When you are defeated before the fourth match, you also get a reward but not as big. Each time you win, the potential rewards increase.

Q: What happens after I win four matches ?
A: The same of when you are knocked out: you claim your prize and then start all over again, building a new squad and going on a new FUT 16 Draft four matches season.

Q: Why people love this mode ?
A: Probably because they are free to try new players and new cards.

FIFA 16 Ultimate Team is all about giving you the chance to build, manage and play with the dream combination of your favourite players. You can play tournaments, seasons or one-to-one matches. But this year, there is a new way to play Ultimate Team: the FUT Draft.

FIFA 16 Ultimate Team Draft is a brand new mode inside FUT 16. This new mode will test your team building skills as you pick the best fit for each position from a five-player draw. Draft a squad and challenge opponents in a series of up to four matches to win big rewards for your club.

First FIFA 16 Ultimate Team Details Explained

This is a separate mode inside Ultimate Team, which means that just like World Cup 2014 add-on, you can not buy or trade players in the market. You can use the rewards you receive in the FUT Draft to improve your original FUT squad but players can only be used in the FUT Draft and only during the four matches row.

You can learn everything about the new game mode FUT Draft, reading our guide.

User Interface Improvements

First FIFA 16 Ultimate Team Details Explained

FIFA Ultimate Team in FIFA 16 features one of the largest year-to-year user interface changes since its introduction. From changes to items appearance to more streamlined menu experiences, you’ll be spending less time off the pitch and more time on it.

The new ‘Tag’ feature allows you to quickly deal with multiple items from your packs. Flick the Right Stick up to tag multiple items to either list them on the Transfer List, Quick Sell, or send directly to your Club.

Individual Chemistry meters now help users better see the Chemistry rating of each player. When swapping players you can now flick the Right Stick to the right to preview how adding a new player to your squad will affect the Chemistry of other players’. Players unaffected by the player swap will fade making it easier for you to understand who is affected by a particular position swap.

FUT 16 will contextually detect and recommend consumables based off the needs of your player. Should you find yourself missing a particular consumable you can search the Transfer Market for that item with the push of a button. You can also use LB/RB and L1/R1 to quickly browse through your Consumables pile without leaving the screen.

You can now swap your entire squad more efficiently using the new Player Swap screen. Use LT/RT or L2/R2 to switch between multiple positions on the pitch without ever leaving the screen.

The commentators now know and talk your FUT Club. Dynamic commentary reacts to the statistics and history of your Club. If a particular player on your team scores a milestone goal, they’ll mention his achievement.
