Team of the Tournament is the name given to a selection of In Form players released at the same time at the end of an international competition. In this case, the TOTT is about the players in form in the UEFA France 2016. This should be the last TOTT for FIFA 16.

This is the time of the year in which everyone has an opinion. Everyone dreams with the perfect FIFA. In order to have the best FIFA possible, it is important that players ratings be as real as possible.

One of the most discussed updates has to be with the best players of the world. Part of the community wants Ronaldo with the same rating of Messi. Depending on the progression that had the previous season, it is natural that some players are overvalued and others undervalued. In that cases theirs ratings should be updated. Likelihood: High

Now that the deal with Messi ended, there are good chances to see both players with the same rating in FIFA 17. Messi should keep the 94 rating, the same one of Ronaldo which is a +1 upgrade from his FIFA 16 rating. EA is not given preferential treatment to Messi anymore, so it may happen.

Likelihood: Very High

There are many popular players who will receive a huge rating upgrade for sure. It’s the case of Mahrez, Harry Kane, Kingsley Coman, Dele Alli, Leroy Sané, Eric Dier, Jamie Vardy and even Luis Suárez.

There are many people that makes confusion between EA Sports FIFA (aka FIFA 17 Mobile) and FIFA 17 Companion App. The first one allows you to play the game itself. When will be launched the FIFA 17 Companion App? Except EA, no one can confirms the Companion App release date but historically the FUT Companion App launches at the same time as the FUT Web App. In that way, the most likely date is Tuesday, September 20^th, 2016.

Please make sure your device meet the requirements and remember that this app requires you to have an Origin account connected to FIFA 17 (Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 or PC). To use the FIFA Ultimate Team features in this app, you must have a FIFA Ultimate Team Club within FIFA 17 and must have played a number of games to unlock transfer market functionality via the app. Note that you’ll need to start on the web app before you can use the mobile app.

If you used the FIFA Companion App for FUT 16, you probably have realized that the app was offline a couple of days to turn your app into FUT 17. After the update, which is automatic, no longer is possible to use this App to manage your FUT 16 club just like it happens with the Web App too.

What is Origin Access ?


 

Origin Access is a subscription paid program exclusively for XBox One owners. With it, gamers can get exclusive offers for Electronic Arts video games.

The Origin Access, released on January 2016, offers to subscribers three main advantages:

• Early Access to the full game

Subscribers can download FIFA 17 earlier and play it up to 10 hours. It is possible to carry forward the progress and achievements.

• Free Access to Games

Origin Access holders have free access, any time and as long they keep being subscribers of the service, to a selection of games ‘The Vault’. At this moment, it includes FIFA 14, FIFA 15 and FIFA 16.

• 10% discount on EA digital purchases

Origin Access subscribers pay 10% less to buy FUT 17 packs and also get a 10% discount in the full FIFA 17 game, as well in any other EA digital content.

What is included ?

Subscribers can download FIFA 17 full game before the date release. But there is more. EA Access holders also get early access to other EA Sports titles.

 
 

What are the early access features ?

Through early access, subscribers may play the full game before the game hits the stores, including on line play and FIFA Ultimate Team features. However, there is a 10 hours total limit of game play. It is possible to play, trade, sell, buy cards and FIFA Points, which can be a huge advantage over the other players without early access.

Saved games and achievements/trophies subscribers earn during Early Access, while connected to EA Servers, will unlock once they purchase and log into the EA Servers with the final version of the game.

FIFA 16 FUTTIES are the Oscars for this year FIFA Ultimate Team. The annual event awards players new pink in form cards for eleven categories, voted by the FIFA community. If you want to know who are the 44 FIFA 16 FUTTIES Nominees and the Winners keep reading.

Introducing you FIFA 16 FUTTIES

FUTTIES are special award in-form cards chosen by the FIFA community. This EA’s original idea made its first appearance in FUT 15. Over 1.5 million votes were cast last year and in FUT 16 the idea is to have something even bigger. You’ll be able to vote for your favourite FIFA 16 Ultimate Team players in 11 award categories celebrating their in-game heroics for your FUT Club. For each category, there are four players nominated. After the votes have been tallied, each award category player with the most votes will receive a special pink FUTTIES in-form with improved stats.

The eleven winners – the players with more votes in each category – will be announced in July 29th. From July 22 until July 29, the 44 nominees will have special pink-colored items with base stats available to find in packs. These pink items are pretty important as the winning player’s items will get an automatic upgrade. All FUTTIES winners will receive a special boost and feature a gold trim to signify their accomplishment. If you have a winning FUTTIES item in your club, they will automatically receive the boost.

Q: What is the FUT Web App?
A: The Web App, also known as FUT Web, is an online extension where we can manage our FUT club. Both names are abbreviations for FIFA Ultimate Team Web App.
The FUT 17 Web App is the central for all FIFA 17 Ultimate Team enthusiastic. You can do almost everything you do on the platform (Playstation, XBox or PC). Obviously, playing matches is one of the few exceptions.

Q: When the FUT Web App was released for the first time ever?
A: On FUT 10.

Q: What can I do with this App?
A: Searching, selling and trading cards;
Organizing and testing the chemistry of the squads;
Sharing your squads with your friends;
Buying and opening packs;
Checking the Team of the Week;
Consulting and interacting with all the cards you have on the club;

Q: It’s my first time and I don’t know how to enter in FUT Web App for FIFA 17. Can you help me?
A: It’s easier than you probably think. Follow these simple steps:
1) Type “https://www.easports.com/fifa/ultimate-team/web-app” in the address bar of your internet browser.
2) Choose the main console where you will play.
3) Enter the answer to the security question.
4) Confirm the club name and its abbreviation.
5) You are ready to go !

Q: How do I register in Origin?
A: To access FUT Web App, you need to be registered on Origin. If you’re not, just go to Origin website and select ‘Join Now’. After the conclusion of the process, you’ll be able to login to the FUT Web App for FIFA 17.

Q: Do I need to do anything to enable the FUT Web App for FIFA 17?
A: No. It’s automatic. The app for FUT 16 will be taken down for maintenance a few days before the FUT 17 Web App release date.

Q: Which one is launched first: FUT Web App for FIFA 17 or early access of EA and Origin Access?
A: FUT Web App.

Q: Why should I use the FUT Web App for FIFA 17?
A: The big advantage of using the FUT Web App is that it is the fastest and more comfortable way to managing one’s club. Most traders use it for searching, selling and buying cards because these actions imply frequent quick visits to the market during the day.

Q: I want to go back to the FUT Web App for FIFA 16. Where I can find it?
A: You can’t. After the FUT Web App release for FIFA 17 it is not possible anymore to access the FUT Web App for FIFA 16. However, you still can control your squad in the console.

Q: Is it possible to use the FUT Web App to manage a squad I own in another console?
A: Yes. You just have to click in the ‘FUT Persona Selector’ icon that you can find in the top right corner. Be sure to change to the persona you want and wait until the FUT Web App be restarted with the selected persona.

Q: Is FUT 17 Web App free?
A: Sure. You just need a PC with an internet connection and the last version of Flash installed.

Q: I am registered in Origin but I can’t get into the FUT Web App for FIFA 17. Why?
A: The FUT 16 Web App early access is only for who have created a security question/answer before August 1st 2016. If you are a new player, you will need to play in the console first before you can access to the Apps.

Q: I can access to the FUT Web App but the market is unavailable. Why?
A: If you haven’t played FUT 16 in the console where you plan to play FUT 17, the Apps will not make available the market’s earlier access. You need to validate your FIFA 17 account in the new console to unlock the market.

Q: How can I take advantage of early access?
A: Follow the tips we have in our FIFA 17 Starting Guide.

Q: I no longer can access the FUT 17 Web App. Why?
A: If you had access to the FUT Web App for FIFA 17 but no longer have, even if you haven’t made any change, you should know that EA Sports blocks App access to all players that haven’t played FIFA 17 in the console until midnight of October 1st (UK time). To keep using this App, you will need to buy the game.

Q: How do I activate the login verification?
A: Login Verification is a mandatory step before you can access the FUT Web App for FIFA 17. If you never activated, just go to your Origin account and enable it. Then, just confirm the email or sms they have sent to you, verify your FIFA Ultimate Team Secret question and answer and store your codes in a safe place. As simple as that. If you already did it in the past, all will need is your EA account email address, password and answer to your secret question.

Q: Why I can’t get into the FUT Web App for FIFA 17? It’s says to try later.
A: Clean the cache of your browser and try other browsers and devices. If it doesn’t work, that’s because the servers are overloaded and you will have to wait.

Q: How much time I have to wait to unlock the FUT Web App, after I played FIFA 17 in my console?
A: It depends. Usually, three days is enough but many users have reported they waited more than two weeks to be unlocked.

Q: It is possible to purchase FIFA Points in the FUT Web App?
A: No, you can’t purchase FIFA Points in the FUT Web App.

Q: How can I claim Daily Gifts in the FUT Web App?
A: You just need to enter in the App in specific times. If you skip the intro screen, you will be able to find your daily gift in store – my packs section. Remember that these gifts are limited to one per day. In the days you don’t open the FUT Web App or the Companion App, you will loose the daily gift of that day.

Q: Is FUT 17 Web App available for iOS and Android devices?
A: No. If you want to manage you FUT 17 squads in your mobile devices, you should use the Companion App.

Q: Should I use the FUT Web App or the Companion App?
A: The FIFA Web App is available on web browsers while companion app is available on iOS, Android and Windows Phone devices. The first one is more popular and have more features. However, the companion app offers the functionality of entering a FUT Draft. If possible, use both.

Gamescom 2016 Overview

Gamescom 2016, which takes place between August 18 and August 21, is a trade fair for video games at the Koelnmesse in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is organized by the Bundesverband Interaktive Unterhaltungssoftware (Federal Association of Interactive Entertainment Software). It is used by many video game developers to show off their upcoming games and game-related hardware.

Gamescom 2016 is the world’s largest games event with 275,000 visitors, more than 5,000 journalists and 557 exhibitors from 39 countries attending the show in its third year. It was first held August 19-23, 2009. There are areas for business, entertainment and professionals.

The conceptual fundaments of gamescom consist of an efficient and comfortable business area, an entertainment area for the ultimate gaming and fun experience and the gamescom festival in the centre of Cologne to attract new target groups. As the only event of its kind, gamescom links the entire value-added chain, from developers, publishers and the trade all the way down to consumers, while stimulating discussion forums at every level.

The entire games world will present itself to the public at gamescom, the leading B2B entertainment trade fair in Europe and beyond. In 2016, plenty of innovations in games software and important hardware news are expected, as well as hundreds of world, European or German premieres.

EA at gamescom experience will kick off on Tuesday, August 16. New Chemistry System

We expect to see many changes to the way how chemistry works in FIFA Ultimate Team. This is something Electronic Arts have to do after the chemistry glitch discovered by the community this year. If they implement this, for the first time in FUT history you will be able to see exactly what chemistry boosts do to your player’s attributes. That’s something really important to the game reliability and which was implemented to the MUT this year.

 
New FUT Legends
Every year new FUT legends are announced in the Gamescom and this year it shouldn’t be different. According to the most recent FIFA Online 3 database update, these may be the new legends of FIFA 17: Oliver Kahn, Raúl Gonzalez, Rivaldo, David Trezeguet, Jaap Stam, Michael Ballack, Cafú, Materazzi and Véron.

eSports is a massive industry and it is growing a lot. Electronic Arts already showed to their investors that they are working to turn FIFA more attractive to this public. We do not know if they will announce these new features for FIFA 17, like the largely requested Spectator Mode, but that time is coming.

Introduction to the FIFA 17 Squad Building Challenges

There are six game modes within FUT: head to head, seasons, tournaments, draft, champions and squad building challenges. In this last one, players have to complete challenges to earn in-game rewards. Users have a wide selection of dynamic scenarios to complete including Basic, Advanced, and League Challenges. FIFA 17 squad building challenges can be played on console, PC or the FIFA 17 Companion App.

Getting Started and Selecting a Challenge

The first time you select FIFA 17 Squad Building Challenges a tutorial will appear explaining how to complete your first challenge group. Once this tutorial has been completed, there are three ways to play Squad Building Challenges: Basic, Advanced, and Leagues – which will be updated throughout the season. Challenges can be bundled into groups, which unlock bigger rewards.

At launch, you’ll need to select one of the many Challenges available to you to work towards completing. The example above is of an Advanced Challenge called “Two Nations”. For this Challenge you are required to build a starting XI of exactly two nationalities with a minimum chemistry of 60.

Build and Exchange

In order to complete the requirements of a challenge, build a team which fulfils the requirements of the challenge using items from your club or from the Transfer Market. Each FIFA 17 Ultimate Team pack you open may contain items that will help you get closer to fulfilling certain challenge requirements and unlocking rewards!

Complete the Challenge

When you have created a team which fulfils the requirements of a particular challenge, it’s time to submit and exchange for great rewards. In Groups, completing a set of challenges unlocks additional group rewards.

Some FUT 17 Squad Building Challenges will be part of larger challenges called Groups. Completing an entire Group earns you other in-game rewards so it pays to complete more than one challenge! So for example an MLS set that will comprise of multiple MLS challenges or a league and nation hybrid set, again comprised of multiple challenges.

Unique Rewards

Completing Challenges and Groups could earn you FUT 17 packs, coins and other unique items found only through Squad Building Challenges. The individual challenges themselves will earn you rewards like packs and coins, and completing groups will bring even bigger rewards like unique player items.

One of the aims is allowing you to make use of players that you would perhaps normally discard or leave rotting in your club, now you’ll be able to use those players in challenges to earn packs and prestige items.

FUT Champions is the all-new way to compete in FIFA 17 on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. It rewards the best players with amazing prizes. Each week, qualify for the Weekend League and compete for in-game rewards. Consistently showcase your skill and climb the Monthly Leaderboards to earn in-game rewards and the opportunity to take your game to the world stage.

Qualify for the Weekend League

Online FIFA Ultimate Team Tournaments are now part of FUT Champions. By winning a daily knockout tournament you will earn rewards and a spot in the Weekend League. Dynamic squad entry requirements and unique rewards keep the Daily Knockouts fresh.

If you are already at the top in FUT Online Seasons then your weekly success at the highest levels will give automatic access to the coveted Weekend League.

You can now compete in daily knockout tournaments which along with bringing their own rewards, which takes place between Monday and Thursday, with the Weekend League running across Friday, Saturday and Sunday. You only need to win one of the daily tournaments across the week to earn entry at the weekend.

Weekend League

When the weekend begins, the clock starts for FUT Champions. You can compete to win as many games as you can from a set number of matches and push for higher tiers and bigger in-game rewards. From Bronze to Elite, everyone who competes in the Weekend League has a chance to earn in-game rewards to help build their club for the next competition.

The Weekend League gives you 40 matches to earn as many points as possible to climb the ranks. You don’t need to come out on top of the pile to win something, but just like FUT Draft the higher you climb, the better the rewards will be. According to Electronic Arts, these are the biggest prizes seen in FUT to date.

Monthly Leaderboard Tiers

Consistency is the key in the FIFA 17 FUT Champions game mode. A strong individual weekend result is only the beginning. Consistent Weekend League performances help you move up the Monthly Leaderboard tiers, unlocking some of the best in-game rewards in all of FUT. Play well enough and you may earn special FUT Champions items to help you show off on the pitch.

Monthly Leaderboards feed into the FIFA 17 Championship Series which culminates next summer with regional finals, allowing players to compete for a $1.3M Dollar prize pool.

Everyone is asking “When FIFA 17 Web App will be Launched?”. It was not announced yet, but the FIFA 17 Web App Released Date should be September 20. Mark this date on your calendar!

FIFA 17 Web App Released Date Estimated for Sept 20

EA will take down the web access to FUT 16 in preparation for FUT 17 very soon. When that happens, if you try to access the Web App you will be redirected to a ‘Coming Soon’ page, like this one. It means that your season is almost starting.

This early access is exclusively to the FUT 16 players who have created a Security Question and Answer on FUT console before August 1, 2016. You have to be there. You’ll receive a starter pack and some welcome packs based only upon your FUT 16 gaming activity. During the first days Daily Gifts will also be offered, so the sooner you start the more you can win. Don’t forget to access your Apps every day. Each day you miss, it is one pack less you get. In the beginning you’ll need all the cards you can get to start your first investments.

But when the FIFA 17 Web App will be launched? Except the game’s developers, no one can confirms the FIFA 17 Web App release date. It is very hard to find out in which date the FIFA 17 Web App will be launched because EA Sports never launch in the announced date to avoid servers overloaded. They will probably announce it a week before its release but you should try to login one or two days before the official date.

In FIFA 14, they turned off the web app on September 11^th and announced it to 15^th. However, EA Sports anticipated in three days. In FIFA 15, the web app was pulled down on September 12^th and back up on 18^th. It was supposed to be on 17^th, but a few problems have delayed it. Last year, the FIFA Web App was under maintenance from September 11^th and was released worldwide from September 15^th at 6pm UK, two days before the announced date.

Sorry but if you are new to Ultimate Team, FUT Web App early access is not for you. Only gamers who have created a security question/answer on their consoles before August 1st 2016, are eligible to start the Web App now. You will need to start first in the console.

How many packs?

Besides the starter pack, you will get at least one welcome back pack. The amount of packs you get depends of your FUT 16 activity, and not for your antiquity as it happened in the past.

Bad luck?

No, it is not bad luck. It is like this with every one. To pull a Ronaldo or any other great player in the starter pack is virtually impossible. Don’t dream with great cards because you will be disappointed. Welcome back packs are a slightly better but keep your expectations low.

More packs

If you want to buy packs you will need to use your few coins. You can only transfer FIFA Points on a console with early access or the retail version of FIFA 17. If you have EA Access or origin Access, you will be able to transfer your FIFA 16 Points to FIFA 17 Points during the early access period (*)

I can’t make profit !

Buy low, sell higher is more difficult in the first days than in the rest of the game because the cash flow in the market is very low. Be patient. As soon as the game is launched everything will change. We will publish several trading guides to help you in this journey.

Every single month, EA Sports makes a selection of the most in form Premier League players of the previous month. The community votes in the favourite and the winner receives a purple FIFA 17 POTM card with boosted stats. Usually, EA also releases a new squad building challenge around the player of the month.

Revitalised by the arrival of Pep Guardiola to Manchester City, Sterling has been a key component among the Citizens’ varied attacking threats that have brought three wins out of three. With two goals, one assist and winning a penalty for a goal in the opening-day match with Sunderland, the winger has posed opposing defences constant problems this season.

Curtis Davies (Hull City)
The Hull City captain has been a rock in the heart of the Tigers defence as the promoted club returned to the Premier League to beat Leicester City, the champions, on opening day, win away to Swansea City and hold out against the might of Manchester United until stoppage time.
No player has made more than Curtis’s 21 interceptions this season and he boasts 100% tackle success in the three matches.

Eden Hazard (Chelsea)
The Belgian winger has been a key part of the perfect start enjoyed by the Blues this season. With two goals, including a wonderful dribble and finish against Burnley in Matchweek 3, Hazard has been a constant threat for Chelsea’s opponents this season. No player has made more successful passes in the final third of the pitch than the Belgian.

Antonio Valencia (Man Utd)
Antonio Valencia is part of a Manchester United defence who have conceded just one goal from three matches, with two clean sheets as part of their three wins, but his danger to the opposing defences has stood out, too. Only one player has provided more successful crosses this season than the Ecuadorean’s five and no defender has received more passes in the final third than Valencia.

Son burst into life with his first match for Spurs in 2016/17, scoring twice in a 4-0 win at Stoke City, with his second nominated for the Carling Goal of the Month award, and producing another brace at Middlesbrough.

Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City)
A key player to Manchester City’s 100% record during September, scoring two goals and providing two assists for Pep Guardiola’s side.

Adam Lallana (Liverpool)
Matching De Bruyne’s creative output with two goals and two assists as well as a passing accuracy of 88%, Lallana’s strike against Leicester City has also been nominated for the Carling Goal of the Month award.

Romelu Lukaku (Everton)
Romelu Lukaku has been involved in more goals in September than anyone else, scoring a hat-trick at Sunderland on 12 September, a wonderful free-kick against Crystal Palace and a goal and an assist against Middlesbrough.

Theo Walcott (Arsenal)
The Arsenal forward has hit the ground running this season with his two goals helping his team to three wins in September, the first time in a year Walcott has struck more than once in the league in a calendar month.

Tom Heaton (Burnley)
The England goalkeeper played a major part in Burnley’s revival in October, making 31 saves to take his season’s tally to 57, 21 more than his nearest rival. Eleven came in the match at Old Trafford where Heaton defied all that Manchester United could throw at him.

Joe Allen (Stoke City)
The Welshman thrived in his new No 10 role, scoring as many Premer League goals (three) in the month as he managed in total in his two previous seasons. Allen also created six chances for team-mates, including two assists, as Stoke recorded three wins in a row.

N’Golo Kante (Chelsea)
An ever-present in October, Kante has been the linchpin of Antonio Conte’s new 3-4-3 formation. As well providing the team a defensive solidity that meant they did not concede in October, Kante laid on six chances for team-mates, completed 247 passes and scored a memorable goal against Manchester United as Chelsea won four matches out of four.

Eden Hazard (Chelsea)
The 2014/15 Premier League Player of the Year continued his resurgence through October with three goals, an assist, seven chances teed up for team-mates and 17 completed dribbles.

Ikay Gundogan (Manchester City)
Man City fans had to wait until October to see their summer signing in action, due to a knee injury, but the German did not disappoint. The creative verve he brings to City was demonstrated by 251 successful passes, 81 of them in the final third, and the nine chances he laid on for team-mates, including an assist. Gundogan also weighed in with two goals, against West Bromwich Albion.

Diego Costa (Chelsea)
If Kante has been Chelsea’s driving force, and Hazard the wizard on the wing, Costa has represented Chelsea’s cutting edge. The Spain forward maintained his early-season form, scoring three goals as well as providing an assist, to take his tally to an unrivalled eight for the season.

Philippe Coutinho (Liverpool)
Coutinho continued to shine brightly in Liverpool’s exciting attack throughout October. The Brazilian was at the heart of everything, laying on 13 chances for team-mates, completing 14 dribbles and 92 passes that finished in the final third, He also scored a wonderful goal, his fifth of the campaign, against West Brom.

What is the FIFA 17 Player of the Year?
 

From time to time, EA Sports releases a special card for Player of the Year award winners of certain leagues, with significant stat increases from their previous card. Just like POTM cards, they are Heroes purple cards. You can know more about the several players cards types available in FIFA 17 Ultimate Team, clicking here.

You can win one of these POTY cards when completing specific FIFA 17 Squad Building Challenges or in the packs / FUT transfer market. When available in a challenge, they are usually based on the chosen player’s league and nationality. Depending if there is a SBC or not, they can be untradeable or tradeable.
